Erin Salazar
Artist, Executive Director of Local Color
Erin Salazar is a force for good in San Jose. She is the Founding Executive Director of Local Color and The Exhibition District (ExD), a Woman Owned & Operated Arts Nonprofit creating economic opportunities for artists at the intersection of public art + community development with a focus on the local economy by keeping artists engaged, employed, and active. Through various programs Erin is committed to beautify San Jose inside and out with local color painted by local artists! Her honors include holding both the title of Woman of the Year and San Jose Spelling Bee Champion in 2018. Erin was honored by being named a Knight Foundation Public Space Fellow in 2019.
Salazar is an artist, idea machine, muralist, seamstress, community organizer and a public art curator.
