Daan Roosegaarde
Dutch Artist and Innovator
Daan Roosegaarde is the founder of the Rotterdam-based design lab, Studio Roosegaarde. His internationally acclaimed Smart Highway Project, which uses photo-luminescent painted highway lines that charge during the day and glow at night, won several international design awards. Daan’s dedication to innovative and forward-thinking design and his experience creating large-scale public space commissions, make him an exciting addition to the Urban Confluence jury.
